Temporal variation of Cs in seepage water in a forest soil

The Cs concentration of seepage water in forest soil was investigated by a lysimetric method after the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plant accident. Sampling of seepage water under the litter layer and 5 and 10 cm depths was carried out from May 2011. Seepage water samples were concentrated using a rotary evaporator and were measured using a well type Ge detector. The Cs concentrations in 2012 were lower than those in 2011. This result showed that the vertical migration of Cs in soil was decreasing gradually.
